NIFT 2021: Application Form (Till 21 Jan), Exam Date, Eligibility, Syllabus

NIFT Entrance Exam 2021 will take place on 14th Feb 2021 and it will be organized and regulated by National Institute of Fashion and Technology. The application for the NIFT Exam was released on 14th Dec 2020 and it will continue till 21st Jan 2021. The students who are interested in pursuing graduation in design can apply for the. The NIFT eligibility condition is that the applicant must have passed their 12th standard from any approved Board. Those students who are not able to submit the application form before the due date will have to pay an additional Rs.5,000 as a late fee.

NIFT 2021 Application Process

The NIFT registration process can be done in 5 steps which are- registration, application form, upload photograph and signature, application fee and print out of confirmation page.

NIFT Registration

  • Firstly, the applicant must visit the official website of NIFT Admissions 2021 here: https://applyadmission.net/nift2021.
NIFT Admission
  • On the homepage, click on the “Admission” option and then, from the drop menu select the “Registration for Admissions-2021” tab.
  • A new page will open, there you need to click on the “Fresh Applicant Registration” tab given on the side.
NIFT Registration
  • The registration form will appear on the screen, there you need to enter your name, birth date, category, disability (if any), email ID, program, and program type.
  • Then, you need to click on the “Submit” tab given at the bottom of the page.
  • You will receive an acknowledgment on your registered email address.

NIFT Application Form

  • Once, the registration process is over you need to go back to the Fresh applicant option page and then click on the “Login” tab given below it.
  • The login page will open, there you need to enter your email ID and DOB.

  • Then, you need to click on the “Submit” tab given just below to start the application.
  • Now, the NIFT application form will open on the screen, there the applicant must enter the following things:
    • Mother’s name
    • Father’s name
    • Gender
    • Test center
    • Qualification
    • Nationality
    • State of Domicile
    • Address
  • Now, you need to click on the “Save” button given at the bottom of the page to save all the information you have entered.

Upload Photograph and Signature

  • Now, the candidate will be redirected to a new page where they need to upload scanned copies of all the documents.
  • The image of a photograph uploaded by the candidate must be in JPG/JPEG format and it should be less than 50 KB in size.
  • The image of the signature uploaded by the candidate must be in JPG/JPEG format and it should be less than 50 KB in size.

Application Fee

  • Once all the information is filled you will be redirected to the payment page.
  • The applicants must submit the application fee through net-banking, credit card, and debit card.
  • The applicants who wish to pay the application fee through offline mode can make a DD in the name of “NIFT HO”.

Take a Print out of the Confirmation Page

  • One all the processes are done the applicant must remember to take a print out of the application form.
  • They must keep this print out safe until the end of admission process as they might require it in between.

NIFT 2021 Application Process for J&K Students

NIFT Registration

  • Firstly, applicant must visit the official website of NIFT. The homepage of the website will open.
  • On the homepage, click on “Admission” option and then, from the drop menu select “Registration 2021-22” tab.
  • A new page will open, there you need to click on “Fresh Applicant Registration” tab given on the side.
  • The registration form will appear on the screen, there you need to enter your name, birth of date, category, disability (if any), email ID, program and program type.
  • Then, you need to click on “Submit” tab given at the bottom of the page.

NIFT Application Form

  • Once, the registration process is over you need to go back to the Fresh applicant option page and then click on “Login” tab given below it.
  • The login page will open, there you need to enter your email ID and DOB.
  • Then, you need to click on “Submit” tab given just below to start the application.
  • Now, the NIFT application form will open on the screen, there the applicant must enter Mother’s name, Father’s name, Gender, Test center, Qualification, Nationality, State of Domicile, Address
  • Now, you need to click on “Save” button given at the bottom of the page to save all the information you have entered.

Upload Photograph and Signature

  • Now, the candidate will be redirected to a new page where they need to upload scanned copy of all the documents.
  • The image of photograph uploaded by the candidate must be in JPG/JPEG format and it should be less than 50 KB in size.

  • The image of Category/Date of Birth/ Class 12 Mark-sheet/ PwD/ Photo Identity Card of Artisan (Mother/Father) uploaded by the candidate must be in JPG/JPEG format and it should be less than 200 KB in size.

Application Fee

  • Once all the information is filled you will be redirected to the payment page.
  • The applicants must submit the application fee through net-banking, credit card and debit card only.

Important points to keep in mind

The applicant must always keep in mind following points while upload the scanned copy of their photograph and signature.

Photograph

  • The photo must be coloured and it must be taken by the professional. Self-portraits are not allowed in the form.
  • The photo of the candidate must have a white background.
  • The photograph must be latest and it should not be less than 3 months old.
  • For students who wear spectacles; there should be no glare on your glasses and no tinted glasses will be allowed.
  • The scanned copy of photograph must be in jpeg/jpg format and its size should be less than 50 KB.
  • The face of the applicant must occupy at least 80% of the area in the photograph and the applicant must be looking directly into the camera.
  • The features of the face should not be covered by any shadow, cloth hair etc.
  • The forehead, lips, eyes, nose, chin, cheeks of the candidate should be visible clearly.

Signature

  • The applicant must have done his/her sign with a black pen against a white sheet of paper.
  • The applicant must scan the signature; no pictures are allowed.
  • The scanned copy of signature must be in jpeg/jpg format and its size should be less than 50 KB.

NIFT Entrance Exam Correction Window

  • Firstly, applicant must visit the official website of NIFT.
  • On the homepage, click on “Admission” tab.
  • And then, click on ‘Log in Edit Application/ Registration Details’ tab.
  • The login page will open, there enter your application number, DOB and email ID.
  • Then, click on “Login” button given at the bottom of the page.
  • Now your application form will open on your screen, make all the required changes.
  • Once, you are satisfied with all the information you have entered click on “Save” button.
  • All the changes that you have made in your application will be saved.
