NATA Exam Pattern has been released by the Council of Architecture i.e., CoA on their official website i.e., nata.in. All those applicants who want to apply for the NATA 2021 must check the NATA Exam Pattern so that they can prepare for the examination in a better manner. The exam pattern of the NATA Exam will include the number of questions that will be asked in the examination, question type of the examination, the medium of paper, Number of Sections, Marking scheme, and much more.

NATA Exam 2021 will be held through the online mode i.e., computer-based mode. The NATA exam consists of two sections i.e., Part A and Part B. The NATA Exam 2021 question paper will be of a total of 200 marks. Part A paper will be of a total of 125 marks whereas Part B paper will be of total 75 marks

NATA 2021 Exam Pattern

Applicants must check the NATA Exam Pattern so that they can get an idea about the NATA Exam and can then prepare accordingly for the NATA Exam 2021. Mode of Examination:

  • The NATA exam consists of two sections i.e., Part A and Part B.
  • Part A exam will be held in an online mode.
  • Part B exam will also be held in an online mode.

Type of Questions:

The question paper of the NATA Exam will consist of the following type of questions:

  • Multiple-Choice type (MCQ)
  • Preferential Choice type (PCQ)
  • Multiple Select types (MSQ)
  • Numerical Answer Type (NAQ)

Maximum Marks:

The NATA Exam 2021 question paper will be of a total of 200 marks.

  • Part A paper will be of a total of 125 marks
  • Part B paper will be of a total of 75 marks

Exam Time Duration:

The applicants will be given a total of three hours and 15 minutes i.e., 195 minutes to complete the NATA Exam 2021 paper.

  • Part A Paper- 135 minutes i.e., 2 hours and 15 minutes will be given to complete Part A paper.
  • Part B Paper- 45 minutes will be given to complete Part B paper.
  • Interval- 15 minutes of the break will be given to applicants in between 2 papers i.e., Part A and Part B paper.

Number of Questions:

NATA Exam will consist of a total of 125 questions in the drawing section and the Aptitude section.

The medium of Exam:

NATA Exam 2021 will be conducted in the English language only.

 Marking Scheme:

The exam paper of NATA Exam for the drawing section and the Aptitude section will carry different mark questions i.e.,

  • 1 – Marks Questions,
  • 2 – Marks Questions
  • 3 – Marks Questions.

Negative Marking:

There will be no negative marking in the NATA examination.

Qualifying Marks:

To qualify for the NATA Examination applicants will need to secure the following percent of marks:

  • Aptitude section: To qualify Aptitude section applicants will have to secure a minimum of 25% of marks i.e., out of 75 marks applicants has to secure a minimum of 18 marks
  • Drawing Section: To qualify drawing section applicants will have to secure a minimum of 25% of marks i.e., out of 125 marks applicants has to secure a minimum of 32 marks.
