Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is the National Level entrance exam which is held by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI). Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is conducted two times every year. Those applicants who will successfully qualify for the ACET entrance exam can get admission in various Diploma Programmes/ UG Management offered by the Institutions. The entrance test is also held for admission into various professional programs in Actuaries.

ACET 2021 is held in an online computer-based. ACET Exam will consist of 100 marks which are divided into 70 questions. There will be two parts to the ACET 2021 exam i.e., Part 1 and Part 2. Part 1 consists of subjects like Mathematics, Data Interpretation, and Statistics with a total of 55% of the score whereas, Part 2 consists of English and Logical Reasoning with 45% of the total marks. ACET Eligibility

Applicants who want to apply for the ACET 2021 examination must fulfill the eligibility criteria put forward by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI). The eligibility criteria for ACET is given below:

  • There is no age limit to apply for the ACET 2021 examination.
  • Qualification: Applicants must have qualified 12th class or its equivalent from a recognized board or university.
  • Applicants who are Graduate, Post-graduate, Management candidates, Engineering candidates, CA, CS, degree holders in Mathematics are also eligible to apply for the ACET examination.
  • Applicants must have qualified English subjects as one of the main subjects in class 12th.

ACET Exam Pattern

The applicants will be given 3 hours of time duration for attempting the ACET Examination. ACET exam will consist of 100 marks which are divided into 70 questions. There will be two parts to the ACET 2021 exam i.e., Part 1 and Part 2. Part 1 consists of subjects like Mathematics, Data Interpretation, and Statistics with a total of 55% of the score whereas, Part 2 consists of English and Logical Reasoning with 45% of the total marks.

  • Questions Type: ACET 2021 will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions i.e., MCQ questions will be asked in the question paper.
  • Exam Mode: The ACET 2021 examination will be held online i.e., Computer-based mode.
  • Duration: Applicants appearing in ACET Examination will be given the time duration of 3 hours for the exam.
  • Sections: There will be two parts to the ACET 2021 exam i.e., Part 1 and Part 2.

ACET 2021 Exam Application

The ACET Exam application forms have been released on the official website on 20 January. The last date for ACET application has been set by 27th February 2021 up to 3.00 PM by Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI). ACET registration will be in three stages, a) registration b) application form c) fee. Candidates can complete the process of application up to 27 Ferrari in online mode. The step-by-step process of ACET 2021 registration is shared with you below.

ACET Registration

  • First of all, go to the official website of Actuaries of India (IAI) i.e., www.actuariesindia.org.
  • On the homepage of the website, the applicant needs to sign up for the registration process.
  • Fill the registration form with all the required details carefully.
  • After filling in all the details click on submit.
  • Once the submission is done, the applicant will get a confirmation mail on his/her registered email id which will be having a link to proceed with the next step.
  • Now once the link is opened, the applicant needs to fill in the other required information.
  • Now the candidate needs to upload a recent passport size photograph.
  • Finally, after all the steps an applicant has to pay the application fee. The application fee can be paid by Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.
  • In case the applicant does not receive the confirmation mail, the applicant needs to get in touch with the IAI at acet@actuariesindia.org or call them at 022-67843355.
  • Once the applicant does his/her successful registration, the applicant will be able to download the study material from their login id which will be set during the registration process.
  • Applicant must take a printout of the ACET Online Registration Form, as it has to be submitted at the time of admission process to the institute.

ACET Application Fee

The application fee for ACET Examination is Rs.3000. All category candidates have to pay the same amount of INR 3000. The payment mode of application fee is through online mode. It can be paid using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

Forget password

  • If in case candidate forgets his/her password, then the candidate needs to click on the forgot password option on the login page
  • Then they need you to enter their registered email id.
  • Once the registered email id is entered, a link to reset the password will be sent to their email id.
  • Finally, the candidate can reset his/her password and login to download your ACET Admit card.

ACET Admit Card

  • Applicants who will successfully fill the application form along with the payment will be able to download their admit card of ACET before one week of the examination.
  • Applicants must keep a copy of the admit card safe till the examination, as well as the admission process, gets completed.

  • Applicants without the admit card will not be allowed to sit in the examination of ACET.
  • Applicants will be able to download the admit card on the official website of the ACET using their registered login ids. On the login, page candidates need to enter their registered Email ID and password.

ACET Exam Centres

Actuarial Common Entrance Test (ACET) is conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) biannually at almost 50 different ACET examination centers. ACET 2021 will be held on tentatively 15th June and candidates can appear for the exam in various centers across 24 cities in India. This will comprise all the major metropolitan areas as well as other educational hubs of India. Applicants are given a chance to select their preferred exam center and city at the time of the registration process. The applicant cannot claim for a change of exam centers once the release of the admit card.

The documents given below are important for the candidate to carry with him/her to the examination hall. The candidate will not be allowed to appear in the examination if he/ she does not have these documents with them.

ACET Result

ACET result will be released after a few days of ACET Examination

ACET 2021 Result will be published on the website a few days after the commencement of exams. Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) conducts the ACET Examination twice every year. Those applicants who will successfully qualify for the ACET entrance exam can get admission in various Diploma Programmes/ UG Management offered by the Institutions. The entrance test is also held for admission into various professional programs in Actuaries.

ACET 2021 Result will be released on the official website. All those applicants who will appear in the exam can check their results in their logging accounts on the examination portal.

Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) will also release a Merit List on their official website. The merit list will depict how many candidates have qualified for the ACET examination.

 ACET merit list will show the list of qualified candidates with their applicant’s ID and applicants’ names.

Based on the merit list, applicants will be called for the counseling procedure. Applicants will be categorized rank wise

How to check ACET Result

  • The step-by-step procedure to check the ACET Result is given below:
  • First of all, go to the official website of ACET i.e., www.actuariesindia.org.
  • On the home-page of the website, search for the ACET result links.
  • The applicant has to click on the link of the session he/she has appeared for.
  • Once you click on the desired link, a PDF of the ACET Merit List will open in a separate tab.
  • Now using the CTRL+F key, find your ACET candidate ID in the merit list.
  • When you find your Id, a remark will be mentioned on its last column i.e., Pass or Fail. This will depict your ACET result.
  • Download the Merit List or PDF Result for future reference.

ACET Cut Off

Applicants must secure at least 50% of marks to get qualified for the ACET exam. Those applicants who will score the marks which are equal or above the cut-off marks will get qualified and will get eligible for the Counselling process or admission procedure. The ACET 2021 cut-off will be released after the exam. Those applicants who will qualify for the exam will have their names in the ACET 2021 Merit List. The factors on which the ACET Cut-off will depend are as follows:

  • Number of applicants appearing for ACET Examination
  • Number of Seats Available
  • The difficulty level of ACET Paper
  • Difficulty Level of the Previous Exam of the Same Cycle

ACET Counselling

Applicants who will qualify for the ACET Examination will have to attend the Counselling Session and an Interview session 10 days after the merit list will be released. The dates for the Counselling session and interview session will be released later after the examination. Based on the performance of the candidate in the written exam, Applicants need to bring the Statement of Purpose (SOP), certificates of extracurricular activities if any.

Seat allocation

  • Based on merit, the seats in the different programs will be allotted to the candidates and subjected to fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria for the course.
  • If in case some of the seats will remain vacant then another admission cycle will be announced by the management.
  • The merit – ranking is obtained by calculating the average of the score in the ACET entrance test and the score of the personal interview.
  • An applicant who fails to attend the counselling process can’t claim a seat i.e., he/she will get disqualified.
  • Applicants who will get admission for any course need to submit the admission fee and the first-semester fee in the specified time only otherwise the seat allotment will get cancelled.
